CARILO forged soft-seated floating ball valves combine robust forged construction with precision sealing technology to deliver reliable bubble-tight shutoff across the full pressure range.

Floating ball valve mechanism
API 6D Certified Manufacturing
Side-entry floating ball valve fabricated strictly per API 6D specifications, ensuring consistent quality across every unit produced.
ISO 5208 Rate A Leakage Class
Achieves bubble-tight sealing meeting ISO 5208 Rate A requirements. Upstream pressure pushes the floating ball firmly onto the downstream seat for reliable leak-free performance.
Forged Split-Body Construction
Robust forged bolted two-piece or three-piece split body design. Compact and streamlined structure with seats directly assembled inside the valve body.
Features & Benefits

Built for Demanding Industrial Applications

Every valve is engineered with proven design features that ensure safety, reliability, and long service life in the harshest environments.

Anti-Static Device
Built-in static grounding eliminates electrostatic discharge risk in flammable fluid service.
Anti-Blowout Stem
Stem is mechanically retained from inside the valve body, preventing stem ejection under pressure.
Bi-Directional Tight Shut-Off
Sealing performance is maintained in both flow directions, providing maximum flexibility in piping layouts.
Low Fugitive Emission Packing
Optional low-emission stem packing meets ISO 15848-2 CLASS A for environmentally sensitive applications.
O-Ring / Lip Seals + Graphite
Multiple seal configurations — O-ring, lip seals, and graphite — available to match specific media and temperature requirements.
Low Pressure Drop
Full-bore design minimizes flow restriction, reducing system energy losses and pumping costs.
Compact & Lightweight
Forged construction reduces wall thickness without compromising strength, delivering a lighter valve that's easier to install and support.

Port Bore Options

Choose the Right Bore for Your Application

CARILO valves are available in full bore and reduced bore configurations to match your flow requirements and budget.

Full Bore
Maximum flow capacity, minimal pressure loss
  • Ball port diameter equals pipe ID — zero flow restriction
  • Ideal for pigging operations in pipeline applications
  • Lowest pressure drop across the valve
  • Recommended for slurries, viscous media, and gas service
Reduced Bore
Cost-effective solution for standard on-off service
  • Ball port is one or two sizes smaller than pipe diameter
  • Lower material cost and reduced valve weight
  • Suitable for most general on-off applications
  • Industry-standard choice for water, air, and oil service

Quality Assurance

Precision-Manufactured, Rigorously Tested

Every CARILO valve passes through multi-stage quality control before leaving the factory, ensuring consistent performance you can rely on.

Material Traceability
Raw materials are traced from supplier certificate through forging, machining, and assembly. Mill test reports (MTRs) accompany every heat of steel used in production.
Dimensional Inspection
Every valve is measured against engineering drawings at each manufacturing stage. Critical dimensions are verified using calibrated precision instruments.
Forging Quality Control
Forgings are inspected for grain flow, surface quality, and mechanical properties. Each forging batch undergoes hardness testing and macro-etch examination.
Seat Seal Testing
Each valve undergoes seat seal testing with water or air at 1.1× rated pressure. Leakage must meet or exceed ISO 5208 Rate A requirements.
Hydrostatic Shell Test
Body shells are pressure-tested at 1.5× rated pressure to verify structural integrity. No visible leakage or deformation is permitted.
Functional Cycle Test
Every valve is cycled open and closed to verify smooth operation. Torque measurements are recorded to confirm the stem-bonnet assembly performs within specifications.
Testing & Inspection

Every Valve Passes Before It Ships

CARILO valves are subjected to a comprehensive testing protocol that validates performance under real-world operating conditions.

01
Pressure Testing
Shell hydrostatic test at 1.5× rated pressure and seat leak test at 1.1× rated pressure per API 598. Water or nitrogen used as test medium.
02
Fire Safe Testing
Valves are fire tested per API 607 to verify they maintain structural integrity and prevent leakage of flammable media when exposed to fire conditions.
03
Fugitive Emission Testing
Stem fugitive emission test per ISO 15848-2 at elevated temperature and pressure cycling. Optional CLASS A certification available for low-emission applications.
04
Torque & Operation Test
Functional testing of open/close cycles with torque measurement. Tests verify smooth quarter-turn operation and confirm stem-bonnet joint integrity.
05
Material & Hardness Test
Brinell and Rockwell hardness testing on forgings. Chemical composition verified by spectrometer. Impact testing (Charpy V-notch) at operating temperatures.
06
Visual & Dimensional Inspection
Final inspection includes surface condition review, dimensional verification against drawings, flange face roughness measurement, and coating thickness check.
Manufacturing Process

From Forging to Finished Valve — In-House Control

CARILO controls the entire production chain, from raw material procurement through forging, machining, assembly, and testing — all under one roof.

Step 01
Forging
Steel is heated and precision-forged into valve body, bonnet, and end connector shapes using closed-die forging dies for consistent grain structure and strength.
Step 02
Machining
CNC lathes, milling machines, and drilling centers machine forged blanks to exact tolerances. Ball seats are precision-ground for flatness and surface finish.
Step 03
Assembly
Ball, seats, stem, and body are assembled with calibrated torque settings. Stem packing and bonnet gaskets are installed. The valve is closed and tagged with serial number.
Step 04
Testing & Painting
Full test suite including shell test, seat test, and cycle test. Surface treatment and painting applied. Final inspection and MTR package compilation before shipping.
